Amazing Race at the Club House

Paraphrased:

Me and my organization’s members are invited to attend the 3rd Annual Sussex Club House Crawl this Thursday, January 26th, from 3:30-6pm.This year their theme will be the Amazing Race. There will be many prizes to be won through their own version of the race. Sample a variety of food, compete in the challenge, learn more about leadership and community involvement opportunities and best of all meet people from different clubs.

The location will be at the Sussex Club House: 21 Sussex Ave @ the corner of Sussex and Huron.

hi ufers,

i believe our group needs a events coordinator. the blog is great since everyone can contribute
like:

chinese fashion show on saturday (see stan's post)
9:10 - 10:15 pm Chinese Inspired Fashion Collective Showcase - Alice Ko Original Designs
Featuring:Cheyanne Kan, Janet Yiu, Gigi Chung, Keiko Sun Seline Li and Shirley Chan

but it is my religion that we need someone to coordinate and these outings we'll go to and our own group events. so position created. (this person should be reliable and organized. like the dude holding the flashlight in the picture.)

hairstyle of the semester club

from uf website

hairstyle of the semester club

Ufers thrive on change and creativity. One of the best ways to do that is to get a hair cut. Radically change your hairstyle. Change the way people see you and judge you. Distrub their notion of who you are. Change how you see yourself.

When you join hairstyle of the semester club. You agree every semester you will let other ufers decide your next hair style. It doesn't matter. In fashion or out. Black or green. It doesn't matter. Just Δ it.

We'll go together. Or you can go by yourself if you're into that.
Based on Alex Bogusky, and Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind by Al Ries and Jack Trout.

meetings

Hi new and newer members. The next meeting Sunday(22th) at 1PM in WO meeting room or lounge. We'll probably do that every week, until we can arrange a permanent time.

Note: We are such a rebel group we don't actually book room which cost $25 an hour, we just go there and if it's taken, we move somewhere else. We'll go to Micky Ds. Like Wal-mart, we know how to spend our money.

Please comment if you are coming.

Horizontal is the New Pink

Coardaskirt_1WSJ :

Experts have various theories about why designers are suddenly high on horizontal stripes. One is that they are trying to capitalize on the popularity of men's shirts with vertical stripes.

Horizontal stripes have a checkered past. In the Middle Ages, they were associated with prostitutes, clowns and other social outcasts. European aristocrats took a liking to them in the 17th and 18th centuries, when striped silks were imported from Asia. But in the 1800s, they began showing up on prison uniforms. While the bars made it easier to spot escapees in a crowd, they also were intended as psychological punishment.

When Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., reintroduced striped uniforms in 1997, female inmates begged him to make the bars vertical so they wouldn't look fat. "I told them I am an equal-opportunity incarcerator -- the men have horizontal stripes, and so will the women," he says.

Designers say their stripes are different this time. Chris Lindland, founder of Cordarounds.com, a purveyor of corduroy clothes with a horizontal wale, says his $68 skirts won't emphasize the rear because the wale is very fine. He says he has sold 70 since late last month -- with just two returns -- and plans a horizontal seersucker skirt for spring.

for 2006

Hi Alex,

We have plans for several events and contests. Some people have shown interest in creating an ufashion/utoronto label in accordance with UofT and we have been talking to SAC and been advised on how to go about doing this. We'll also have a photo/calendar contest which will mean getting our name out and making some money. Finally, we have planned a Fashion Walk-off like in zoolander at the end of the year. We have a many industry contacts like designers, producers, models, et al who are interested in working with us and all we have to do is call them up. Find a distributor for a Renova black Toilet paper. In addition, we'll have a few parties, and develop relationships with fashion magazines. And basically whatever the fuck you feel like doing--just say it.

The next meeting will be at Woodworth Residence Lounge on Thursday at 1 to 5PM depending on when you can make it. But try to hit the place at 3. Question? Give send a e.

Is you US?

If you are US or have access to a US credit card, you wouldn't be the first digital picture printing- promotion advantage taking- waiting to get it in the mail Canadian. You do get 100 free prints and just have to pay the shipping of about 4 USD, which mails it to Canada. And the quality is superb, Kodak paper.

just ask

As a fashion group, we're not just about clothes. Fashion is a style and a way of living life. And it's about being very "in."

If you're not into yahoo answers yet. It might be wise to take a look. Especially when you have homework coming up. In the mean time:

How come fashion models have clothes that fit so right?

How do you get started in fashion photography?

MSN 7.5 no ads patch: chicer than your average

Personally, I love ads. One of my favorite websites is an ad company's, CPB. For example, UGOFF. But on MSN, I want to see all my 15 friends at once without having to scroll. It's not that I can't stand ads, but those ads are taking up my valueable screen space.

This is how you do it manually.

This is a patch. (for ver. 6-8)

I think it's by the same Chinese guys who stole some intelligence from the Pentagon. Correct me if I'm wrong.
